I found that he mostly does a set of 3 attacks, the last of which he stops for a moment after a powerful attack so you can get either 1 hit in with a slow weapon like a UGS, or 2-3 hits in with a faster lighter weapon like a SS or twinblades or something. This tactic got me close enough so I could punish his small openings where he wasn't swinging. I found I missed getting hit from almost all his attacks except the occasional shield ability which is much easier to tank and recover from.
Around place where player meets Iron Dragonslayer, there are corpses of Harald Legion Knights.įirst time playing DS3 so I'm not good at the game by any means, but I found the best way to beat him legit was just circling to your right (his left/shield side) and just keep rolling that way during his attacks while continually circling right around him. Medium resistance to Lightning Damage, Slash Damage and Dark Damage. Weak to Wolf Knight's Greatsword, Farron Greatsword, Strike Damage and Frostbite. Headshot will instantaneously stun Iron Dragonslayer and deal 50% more damage. Can't be parried or riposted, but can be poise-broken or guard-broken for extra damage. Iron Dragonslayer's attack deals Lightning Damage, Strike Damage and Standard Damage. It still has all the weakness, so if the player knows how to beat Dragonslayer Armour this fight should be no trouble. Essentially a scaled down version of the Dragonslayer Amour, except with all of its moves from its 2nd phase. Remains of Dragonslayer Armour, which was possesed by the memory of hunt and thus reanimated.
Iron Dragonslayer is an Enemy in Dark Souls 3. Strike, Magic, Fire, Wolf Knight Greatsword, Farron Greatsword
